Volcano Classic Vaporizer

So dependable, backup by the S&B warranty with actually makes this really good value, a pence a day over it's life, and for all the use I've had out of it. I would get another volcano if mine died

Absolutely love the volcano. I had one when the they first came out but sold it because I wasn’t ready to give up smoking. Now I’m older the lungs can’t take the smoke as much these days so the volcano is a god send for people looking to get of the tobacco. My only gripe is I wish I’d got the new hybrid with the ceramic filling chamber .

Good range of temperatures
Easy to clean
Bags are loud and non-recyclable and require replacements, but give a really really good vapour hit, much smoother than any handheld device I have used.

The only other bag vaporizer I can think of is the arizer q - having owned one of those I can confirm the Volcano is superior in almost every sense other than you can't use it with a whip, certainly vapour production is far superior with the Volcano so wonder which other bag vape the other review here is referring to?
That review titled 'outdated' seems to miss the point, a vaporizer is essentially a simple heating device, there is only so much development possible outside of gimmicks, its a heater - it heats!
Would also add that there are very few products out there that are approaching twenty years old that can still hold their own against today's best - the best of the best today are only incrementally better in their production of vapour, that is testament to this design.
The fact many of these units are still working perfectly after two decades of use is again exceptional I doubt any of today's reference vapes will manage that level of reliability.

The first mainstream vape, if you do not count the verdamper or the old, useless hotplate vapes. The build quality is fantastic - it is built like a tank, which is probably why they are/were so popular with coffeeshops in the Netherlands. The problems being:
other bag vapes produce better tasting clouds
other bag vapes produce thicker clouds
it is (as all bag vapes are) noisy to use
you can only do bags (duh - and yes, they really have a place, either at parties or for people who are hardened bong heads who want a big hit)
it is HUNGRY, like all Storz and Bickel vapes, you put loads of herb in the chamber, even with the wire pad for "smaller hits".
Upside: no silly digital nonsense. Why you would want the more expensive digital version I do not know, it makes no difference (unless they have done something with it that I don't know about). As mentioned, it is very, very well built and will last forever. It is easy - very easy - to use ; it comes with all the necessary accessories so no need to pay more to upgrade to make it useable.
These days, it would be very easy for the manufacturer to upgrade the design to deal with the problems with this classic device. Perhaps they are busy with other things?
