Impressive but falls short of perfect.

I had an Iasos grinder before this, I enjoy high end products like this. The machining quality on the Herb Ripper falls short of the Iasos, there are visible tool marks. Additionally, the central section that holds the steel mesh screen was clearly finished at a different time to the top and bottom sections, it's a different colour. I also worry about the magnet; I bought a mini and an XL version at the same time. The magnet broke(?) and came out of the top section. I do hope this doesn't happen to my XL version. The Herb Ripper does grind beautifully however, I like to invert the grinder whilst using to get a nice fine flower. It does get clogged up, there's no getting away from it - but it's easy to clean and maintain. The Iasos grinder I had, which had a theoretically clever mechanism for stopping build up of residue, was fundamentally flawed by design; it was impossible to clean out the deep groove. Would I recommend this grinder? Yes, I still would. I like its weight, how easy it is to clean and it grinds well.

Heavy quality grinder

I am very happy with the engineering and feel of the herb ripper grinder. Its going to be the only one I will need. I bought the XL size which is about right. This weighs over 400g and does not need much effort to slice the material.

Very nicely made and works perfectly. Will last forever I imagine. Mini is perfect size for me. If you'd need a standard size I'd go for it, seems a high price but I think it's worth it.
